Dear Overton High School Alumni,
June 1, 2010 begins a new fiscal year as well as a new beginning for our Alumni Association.
As of May 20, 2010, we have elected a new group of officers to preside over the Association:
President: Cassi Jordan Conyers ’00
Vice President: Frank Johnson ‘95
Secretary: Laura Diggs Ellison ’97
Treasurer: Elisa Barnes Bennett ‘86
Sergeant at Arms: Karl Burt '84
Research/Membership Coordinator: Mary Collins ‘74

We would like to thank the previous board for its service in starting the association and growing the organization to this point. We are asking for everyone’s continued support as we continue to expand the association.
We are in a three-year period of celebration of Overton’s Fiftieth Anniversary and we look forward to working with our sister organization, OvertonFirst, to create a memorable anniversary celebration for our alma mater.
The Alumni Association will continue to hold monthly meetings on the 3rd Thursday of every month in the school library at 6:30p.m. These meetings are open to all Overton alumni who want to participate. We are working to set up a conference line so that those who want to attend meetings but are unable to will be able join in, so please stay tuned for that information.
We also have various ways to stay connected by means of the Facebook group Overton High School Alumni Association as well as OvertonAlumni.net.
Please watch for more events to come leading up to the 50th anniversary gala in 2012 including monthly mixers and fundraisers.
